iHeartMedia Named Official Radio Partner of the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics
IRVINE, Calif. and NEW YORK — July 14, 2026 — USA Water Polo announced today a new multi-platform marketing partnership with iHeartMedia, naming the company the Official Radio Partner of USA Water Polo in an agreement designed to expand the sport’s reach, inspire new participants, and engage fans across the country during one of the most significant eras in the organization’s history.
The partnership will bring together the national governing body for water polo in the United States with iHeartMedia, America’s leading audio company with nine out of ten Americans listening to iHeart broadcast radio in every month, to tell the stories of Team USA athletes, promote grassroots participation, and introduce more families to the sport through a fully integrated national marketing campaign. As excitement continues to build toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the collaboration represents a shared commitment to elevating Olympic sport and creating meaningful connections with fans both inside and outside the aquatic community.
“Water polo is entering an extraordinary moment in the United States, and we’re excited to welcome iHeartMedia as a partner that understands the power of storytelling and audience engagement,” said Jamie Davis, Chief Executive Officer of USA Water Polo. “Their unparalleled reach allows us to introduce the sport to new audiences, celebrate our athletes, and inspire the next generation to discover everything water polo has to offer.”
Beginning this summer, iHeartMedia will launch a nationwide promotional campaign encouraging families to experience the sport through USA Water Polo’s Try Water Polo initiative. The campaign will air across iHeartMedia’s extensive network of radio stations and digital platforms while also extending to USA Water Polo’s marquee events and National Team competitions.
The partnership will also establish iHeartMedia as the Official Radio Partner of the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics, the largest youth water polo tournament in the world. Throughout the event, iHeartMedia will be integrated into the fan experience through on-site activations, event branding, digital content, and promotional opportunities designed to engage the tens of thousands of athletes, coaches, and spectators who attend each year.
“We’re proud to partner with USA Water Polo during such an exciting period for the sport,” said Michael Biondo, President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at iHeartMedia. “Together, we have an opportunity to introduce millions of listeners to an incredible community of athletes while encouraging participation and celebrating Team USA on the road to Los Angeles 2028.”
The partnership begins immediately with activations surrounding the 2026 USA Water Polo Junior Olympics and the Senior National Team exhibition season.
