New Series Uncovers Chilling Stories of Black Families Entangled in Bloodshed, Betrayal and Generational Trauma
WHAT: iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network today announced the launch of “Bloodline Crimes,” a gripping new true crime podcast that unearths chilling stories of Black families entangled in bloodshed, betrayal and generational trauma.
From infamous murderers to criminal duos bonded by blood, each episode will examine cases involving relatives, including siblings, parents and cousins, who turned on their own or committed crimes together. Through expert interviews, immersive storytelling and archival context, “Bloodline Crimes” will explore the psychological, historical and cultural forces behind each case, asking not only what happened, but why it happened.
WHO: “Bloodline Crimes” is hosted by Morgyn Wood, professionally known as Morgyn Media, a journalist and media personality who serves as a national news anchor and White House correspondent for iHeartMedia’s Black Information Network. Reporting at the intersection of culture and politics, Wood has built a career across radio, podcasting, television and digital media, with appearances on The Breakfast Club’s “Front Page News,” SiriusXM, Urban One and WHUT-TV. A graduate of Morgan State University, she was named the university’s Outstanding Young Alumna of the Year in 2025.
